Just wanted to say hey, I'm John in coastal NC. I just moved up to a 2009 FLHTP after riding my 2002 FXSTDI over 100K miles and I must say it is one sweet ride. No official iron butt rides, just a daily rider with a few trips a year. The cop bike will have tough shoes to fill in the reliabity dept, I had few issues with the softail. Still have it, just picked up the cop bike two months ago. We'll see how it goes.
