Hello everyone,
Been lurking for a few weeks while trying to decide if I wanted to switch from sport bikes to a Harley. I've been riding for about 4 years now and have had 2 Triumphs, the first one was a Sprint ST 955i that I wrecked, rebuilt and painted and then was stolen. Then I got a Daytona 675 that I sold at the end of last season.
I loved the handling of those bikes but man you can't do anything unless your in a corner or on a track. I hated that aspect, plus after a 2 hour ride I couldn't move the next day.
So I finally decided to go the Harley route, dropped a deposit on a 2012 Deluxe today and once the financing comes in tomorrow (already approved). It took a ton of hassling with several dealers to get to where I wanted to be at on price, for a black Deluxe pretty much bone stock I'm paying $17200 out the door, 15600 for the bike, about 1500 off msrp. I think I did pretty good.
First mod is going to be Samson fishtail pipes, I'd like to have them end right around the rear tire so gotta do some figuring.
