Hey Guys and Gals, I am brand new to the game. Two weeks ago I bought a brand new Street Glide and just hocked the honda. I have a lot of questions. I bought a set of oval samsons of a buddies' 03 RG. These babies are pretty much straight threw as I can see a 2 inch unrestricted passesage all the way threw. I have 300 miles on the bike so far, and just tonight i installed the samsons to see how they sounded. Not bad! But now I am scared to run it much because of horror stories I have heard. I don't want to mess anything up. I will be installing the air cleaner upgrade later this week and I don't have any plans to make a rocket out of it. My biggest question is pc III, sert, Or just a flash from the dealer? The opion from this forum means a great deal to me. Thanks for your Time. Mike
Mike......talk to your dealer or tuner and see what they prefer to use to tune the bike either the PCIII or SERT. My tuner is more familiar with the SERT so that is the direction I took.
Welcome to the forum. the advice you already have gotten is the best. listen to your tuner but remember, it is easy to find a tuner but can be difficult to find a good tuner. if you can talk to several.
Again, welcome. As said, shop for a good tuner and you'll be fine. I've got the Sampson miter cut and really like them. Post some pics when you get 'er done.
