Just another new member post here, this time from across the pond. I am approaching my mid-life crisis so am in NEED of an HD now. I'm not in a great hurry as I have to convince the wife first.
I'm pretty sold on the FLSTC. I'd want to change the front mudguard and possible wheels (to those from the FLSTF) because starting with the FLSTF and adding the trip kit and front lights, handlebars, pipes etc. is bound to be more expensive.
I prefer the sound of the NA twins but think I would appreciate the reliability of the injection. How are people getting along with the electrics on the new softails? (I'm trying to work out, price aside, which is the best year.) Finally, I think I'd want a bit more poke and noise from some 3rd-party pipes.
Then here to pick up the lingo and other must-haves before embarassing myself on a live meet.
