Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I will use the search feature but since John had responded that he had moved his bars around I just asked the question of him.

welcome from so fla, enjoy the site.... p.s i also had a road king in 03 and i had to move my handle bars around, but the rider backrest was the key. i will never go without one again

Thought Iâ€™d give an update. Part of the original deal was that in addition to some bling I had thrown in, some of the bling I had on the â€˜02 FLSTC that would fit had to be swapped out and put on the FLHRI before I rode out on it. Since then I bought the reduced reach handlebars and Sundowner one piece seat (got the sales manager I bought the bike from to put it on his account for a great price break). The reduced reach bars and seat were a must for me. Made the bike what it was supposed to be in the first place; a long range touring bike.[8D]
