Hey. I'm new to this forumand I'm livingon Ft. Campbell, KY (Army). I own a 1983 Sportster XLX 1000. This winter I have been doing some much needed maintenance. Tires, oil hoses, carb rebuild, a really good cleaning (lots of old grease and grime), some paint and an overall tightening up of things that have shaken loose over the years. It is a good running bike and has brought me lots of fun...riding and maintaining. All the turn signals were gone when I bought it from my friend, so this summer I had to rewire for and install turn signals in order to ride it on the Army post. That was a fun time let me tell you.
