i have a new 2012 wide glide bitchen ride , love it . it's my first new bike . iv'e had plenty of used bikes , anyway , i took it in for the 1000 mile service and had the synthetic oil added . now iv'e got all this engine noise . it's like i can hear the internal parts moving . whats going on , anyone else having issues like this. i haven't talked to the dealer about this yet but i plan on it . i was thinking i was being paranoid and thought maybe the dealer did something to cause some kind of problem . i don't know , it only has 1600 miles on it , please help. thanx robert
Welcome from the Sunshine State. Paranoid is the key word here. When do hear the noise, at idle or when you are going down the road? Idle is okay, going down the road is a different story.

Post this question in genral chat. Syn makes more noise than conv oil.
Hi,
I have a 2012 Fatboy and mine has those sounds too and I worried and then I put loud pipes on it and now it sounds just right.
All I've read says it is normal.
We humans when we focus on a sound it gits louder, kinda like flying a single engine airplane - when you go over water ya swear it goes to automatic rough running.
Welcome, yeah, after the first service, I noticed some ticking, or some kind of wierd noise that wasn't there before, got the same line, it's normal. Trying different oil's and fluids at each service to see if it makes a difference. Hard to tell if it's the motor or primary though.
