march is better to me. lots of people go to get away from the long cold winter up north. the main attraction to me is the racing...two nights pro dirt track, the 200 on sunday, motocross, and usually some other races at out lying tracks in the area.
on the way back north, you really need to stop in gainesville for the gatornationals. super fast track and the first race of the year for pro stock motorcycle.
it all started with the march event and the october one was added many years later--more of a touring bike thing. just another chance for promoters to make money.
the spring event is the best--sometimes happens during the college spring break too.
March - bigger, more events, all the vendors, all the factory demo rides, ALL THE PEOPLE as it is a much larger event
October - good amount of vendors, not the factory demo rides from EVERY manufacturer, not as many events, not as many people so the roads are not as crowded and its actually possible to get in and out of places
but if you came to Biketoberfest, then you should do Bike Week at least once - it is bigger on EVERY scale
Hi what are the best places to stay in Daytona for the march bike week I take it will be probably difficult to get palace to stay any idea on room prices?
