New guy
Hello everyone,
I like to introduce my self:
I'm Eddie de Vries, and i'm living in the Netherlands, the (flat) land of wooden shoe's and windmills.
I'm 53 years old and married with my Rita who's 48 years old and riding a (Black Pearl) Sportster XLH883Low from '07.
My bike is a (vivid black) Dyna Streetbob, also from '07.
When we bought our (new) bikes in '07, I imidiatly chanced a few things.
First of all was the sound of the bikes, in order to accept the heavy rules in Europeen invoirement law (ECC norm) the bikes sound like vacuum cleaners and adjust really poor on the air fuell mixture.
The bikes engines become verry hot when normally performed!
For example: when we came back from two or three hour ride, the engines are ticking in the garage for about one hour to need cooling down.
So, I bought for both of us a set of Zipper's ThunderMax (with AutoTune), and install also a set of Samson Streetslashers exhausts and open airclainers.
Now our bikes have a really Harley sound and cooling down afther just 10 minutes.
I've also chanced the appearance of the bikes:
A large fuell tank and headlicht bezel cover for my wife's Sporster, and for my Streetbob, a 16"ape, forward controls, frontfork rubber booth's and a large xxl left side bag.
I did all the things myself, because i'm a certifiated motorcycle mechanist, altough I don't perform this occupation (because of the bad payments) anymore.
