Default Hello from WI

Hey guys, thought I'd introduce myself......been a member for a while and have been reading and shopping and reading and shopping since last summer after borrowing a friends ultra classic for a couple trips. Been looking for the right ultra.......I have owned and still own a few HD's over the years...An x-90 shortster since I was 5, a 71 sx 350 sprint at about the age of 14, Aquired an SX 125 last fall for cheap. (Still have all these ) 15 yrs ago bought a blown up 1200 sporty and rebuilt, had that a couple yrs and sold to finish my chevelle. Then about 6 yrs ago bought a 92 fxrp, repaired engine and painted. This was short lasted as we needed to buy some family property so it wouldn't be sold outright, so we sold the fxr. Been on a 2001 V92c victory since then which was inherited at that time. (been a great bike too) Had a wonderful daughter 3.5 yrs ago, and now we decided it was time and finally found our new to us 2006 ultra.

My dad has owned a 65 electraglide since before I was around, and also has a 76 electraglide. Been playin with HD's all my life but they've all been short lived. Except my little ones, LoL. Hopefullly this one stays! I think it has a long term home because my wife and I both really like it.

Can't wait for the snow to go away, but have some polishing time before riding season now.

Here's a couple pics and one of what my screen name is from.......
2006 Black cherry ultraclassic. Equipped with Legend air susp., Stage 1 and a few chrome goodies.

Blue66 ss chevelle, owned since I was 18, 18 yrs ago actually. Did frame off restoration and all mechanicals. Runs 9.80's @ 134mph on 91octane pump gas.
496ci pumpgas big block........ I wonder what will happen to the 88ci ultra down the line??

Blue66,

Welcome aboard. It’s always good to see another Wisconsinite here on the board. I am in the northern part of the state near the Apostle Islands on LakeSuperior.

I had a 06 Ultra just like yours before the 2010 I have now. Was a great machine mine was Vivid Black. Bought it new and put 68000 miles on it before I traded for the 2010.

Of course my new bike is also black. I am a long time believer in the old adage that the best looking colors on a Harley are Black and Chrome. My nephew differs in that opinion by saying the colors he prefers is Black and Blond. He may have a valid argument.

Anyway welcome aboard and maybe we’ll see ya on the byway.
.
