I don't know about the HD computer versions, but I just added the Stage 2 with derby cover to my EVO and am really impressed. Its not too often that a air filter system gives the results it advertises but the RPMs jumped at idle and the bike has a noticeable increase in pickup. The sucking sound of air is also cool. Of course, my old filter could have been crap. IMHO, the BS does live up to its representations in delivering more air.

Also, in my experience in A/F ratios on computer controlled car motors in the 500-600 hp range, the BS allows much more air flow which may result in a lean A/F mixture. I would get it mapped to get the most out of the BS and to be sure, but unless your motor has been worked on I don't see any immediate harm. Your not dealing with a 500 hp motor, but you will not see the full benefit of the BS unless the A/F is set to the optimal parameters.

BTW, my EVO has a mild cam, Mikuni 42 and V&H straight pipes.

Welcome from Jacksonville, Florida!

You would get much more help if you would post your question in the Sportster Models section. This section is mainly for new users to introduce themselves.

Just to try to answer a bit of your question, I would say the general answers will be yes, you should tune after both of those changes. The tuner's I've seen are coded to the original bike they were plugged into, and from what I've seen, you would still need to buy a new key to tune your bike, so you might as well just buy a new tuner.
