slip ons no stage one

Hi, all. I've just signed up to the forum and have a question, Can I put a pair of V&H slip ons on my 1200 sportster without having a full stage 1 kit, or will this damage the engine or cause any other problems?

Welcome to the forum... Slip ons are OK to do without any changes to the ECM...If you add a i-flo air cleaner you chould put a power commander or stage 1

Love your quote ib5150, but yes you can do slip ons on any harley without having to change any maps or downlads. If you only do slip ons however it is a good idea to look into a fuel tuner as these bike are naturally lean from the factory. It will help the bike run cooler and give you a good throttle response on top of making the bike a healthier running bike. Anything you need feel free to ive us a call.
