Grease in the neck

Grease in the neck
Hi, my name is Carlos. I just joined the Forum. Just bought a 2013 Street Glide. I put 254E cams with Vance & Hines/headers w/monster ovals. Bike runs great and love it! I had a 2005 V-Rod which was much faster. Enough about this, my question is "what is the deal with greasing the neck for steering"? It has a zerk fitting in the center but there seems to be no grease inside. It's just an empty cavity. Are you suppose to fill this cavity up with grease?

Yep just pump it untill it comes out the key and bottom of the neck, it will take most of a whole tube the first time it is greased.
