Hello to everyone.
In my search for information I was directed to this site. Found some really helpful things in your threads. I have owned a few bikes some that are and were Harley Davidson, but some that were not. I would ride another brand rather then not ride at all. I am riding a 1989 Sportster. I purchased it as being a 1000 but then learned , it is supposedly , a stroked out 883. No matter, I found the bike laying on the ground outside and just couldn't leave it there. I have done some cleaning up and changed only a couple of things. It rides nice and in Florida there is plenty of riding time. Hoping to fix it up some more, but know very little about repairing or modifying motorcycles. So far all has went well. I took things a part , put them back together and it rides really smooth. Hoping to find answers to more things I may want to do to this bike. It is all original, except the gas tank. Couldn't live with the peanut tank.
Anyway, that's my story. Love to ride and plan to do plenty of it on this bike.
