New guy from Texas.

Hello everyone! My name is Chris and I live in North Texas (Ellis County). I'll be buying my first Harley next year, it will probably be a Fat Bob or a Superglide with forward controls. I'm on a metric cruiser for the time being, and can't get Harleys off of my mind. I've been looking at Harley everything on the internet and always end up here. This forum seems to have the most helpful, knowledgeable people on the net. I don't have much to contribute yet, so I'll probably spend most of time reading instead of posting.

I will welcome you, as finally upgraded to my first Harley. Are you looking to buy new or used? Are you selling your bike first? The reason I ask is because it would be beneficial to go visit your local dealers now. Find the one who wants your business, treats you right, the ones you like, you might end up with one sooner than you expect. Ask me how I know. OK, I'll tell you. I bought my Road Star from an HD dealer a 1 1/2 years ago, told them this was my last metric and I will be back within 2 years to buy my first Harley. They gave me a great deal on the Road Star, and just sold me my used Ultra Classic at a great deal. As soon as I decided it was time to sell the Road Star, I put some work into it and made a few grand on it, I called my dealer to tell them to start looking for my next bike. It didn't take but a few days for one to appear. Good luck!
