Just bought my first dyna. A 2001 super Glide with 4200 miles for $5000.
Needs some polishing, new tires, check brakes & Suspension. I had, and sold, a 2003 sportster and a 2004 RK custom. This bike came with a voyager kit that I need to sell. It is hard to drive with it installed. The bike is pretty much stock, been sitting up for 4-5 years. Has a new carb & battery. I would love to install forward controls and handle bars so it fits me a bit better. I am 6'2" about 200 lbs( a few too many creme Bruee'. ) Suspension and brakes feel very soft and tires are hard as hockey pucks. Anyway, I am looking for some advice on customizing without breaking the bank. This could just be an investment or downpayment on another road king or street glide.
Maybe I will try and keep it. It is really growing on me. What a beautiful bike.
Welcome from Kentucky! Shame you bought a fixer-upper at the beginning of the riding season!! Those are always better to get end of season and work 'em over the winter...but hey, you got a project! Good luck and enjoy!!
