Never say never!
Well here I am. I've always wanted a Harley since the late 60's. got side tracked with family, work and life in general. Then came the 90's when it became "the thing" to get a Harley. My bosses all got them and I saw the poser epidemic first hand. It totally stifled my desire to have a bike when it was "the thing to do" if you we're somebody. So no Harley for me. About a month ago I was visiting an old friend who had retired recently and had moved from WI out to my neck of the woods. I had seen a picture of him with is 1985 FXRS that he bought new in Milwaukee. When I visited I saw the bike in his garage and asked if he was ever going to ride it now he was retired. He said he didn't know. I gave him a half assed " we'll if you ever want to get rid of it let me know." 20 minutes later he said its yours and signed the title over to me. 1985 FXRS, pure stock,but for a spoked front wheel, factory custom paint, and with 10300 original miles. Absolutely pristine. Guess I'm gonna need this forum! Found a super Indy who loves old bikes who has kinda taken me under his wing. Let the games begin!
