Hi guys,
I'm Patrick Hailing from Tampa.
I've been scrolling through this forums since a little while after I got my '97 883 in 2005. I put 48,000 miles on her and just traded her in last week for my new to me 07 bone stock Dyna Superglide.
I've never been happier. I really thought I was just buying a hella bigger engine with another gear. I was really just shopping for that 6th gear. Running that 883 wide open throttle every day for my commute seemed a little cruel and unusual. The 150 mile commute has turned from an painful trip to a smooth and pleasurable ride. I'm no longer having to anticipate every little pothole, bridge connection, and little bump in the road. (I should add I'm a pretty big bloke 6' 3 and about 275lbs.) Now I'm just anticipating mod's to make my bike a bit more "me."
I just had to sign up, I wanted to share a little joy. and say thanks for all the thousands of info bytes I've already devoured. I'll be heading over to the Dyna forums shortly to scour and devour a few thousand more.
Heres a pic of the new girl.
