another new guy from Texas
well new to Harley's but not bikes 
been riding off and on since I was 12 (road a buddies Puch 25 like it was mine) graduated to a YZ 80 then a YTM 200 and on to my first street bike, a MIGHTY Honda Rebel 250! Couple more dirt bikes and 3-wheelers here and there as well as an FZR 600 (that was great fun back then). Had about a 10 year hiatus then picked up a Yamaha Warrior which I did a few things to, that was 6 years ago and the itch returned.
This time I wanted something I could actually ride and enjoy the ride in comfort. Today I flew up to Dallas and then onto Corinth and picked up my 2012 Tequila Sunrise Road King Classic. Rode the 329 miles home to Port Arthur in the Texas heat (and it was brutal, sunburned but still smiling ear to ear).
Of course my ride home offered me ample time to eye up what mods were "needed" and where to find the answers (been lurking for a couple months
).
Looking forward to being part of the community and I'll get pics up tomorrow after I wash my bike, I'm just to tired to do it tonight (6am flight that was delayed an hour, 2 hours at the dealer, then dealing with Dallas traffic and the Texas heat all day has just drained my energy)
