Hey all, my name is Eric. I live in Joplin, Missouri. Yes, THAT Joplin. Anyway, I just got my first Harley ('94 FXSTC) after not riding for 28 years. Better than any therapy! I'm a very responsible rider, and even though I've been around Harleys for quite a few years, I don't know models, repairs, etiquette, or the culture as well as I would like. I don't necessarily want to belong to a club, but I don't want to disrespect any clubs either. I'm The Nomad. I'm looking forward to any advice you vets can give me! Peace and be safe!

Welcome. As far as dealing with clubs, just don't act like an a$$ around them and you will be fine. It's not the seventies anymore most club members are older and very tolerant and mostly keep to themselves unless you are in their clubhouse or bar, but there are always exceptions. You can learn a lot from the members here, I know I have. Main thing is just get out and ride, be respectful to others on two wheels, and enjoy yourself.
