Default What style bike?

Hey all,
I'm new here, and bought my first bike last summer. (I'm in maine, riding season is too damn short here!) I have a 98 fatboy, great looking bike, lots of chrome, fast and loud. The only problem I ran into was that I didn't have any place to put my stuff. I need bags. But I refuse to put them on this bike, it would just ruin the style of the bike. So, here I am, I've decided to sell it, and was leaning towards the street glide. ( I want bags AND tunes) But now, from talking to a couple people, they're trying to steer me towards an ultra classic, but I don't like teh trunk. They suggested a removable kit for the trunk.

Can anyone steer me in teh right direction to go in. I plan to put 6 g's down, and then 6 in chrome/xtras Thanks

~light

Welcome from Indiana.

Can't help you on your decision, however, 'cause I'm still lovin' my own Fatboy! I'm sure you'll make the right choice.

Welcome from Montana. I was in the exact same boat! My previous bike was a Fatboy and I loved it as well. However I refused to put saddlebags on it. Icouldn't even bring my lunch to work with me.I bought the 07 Road King and Love it. I personally like the painted hard bags. Also with the Road King you can put a detachable fairing on it, and a touring pack if you want. With the Ultra's you can't take the fairing off.Good luck with your decision, it's all about personal taste.

Welcome from Salem, Oregon - All roads eventually lead to the Ultra Classic...especially if you are looking to take any long distance rides. You can buy a detachable tour-pak rack so when your want, it would come off easily. You will probably miss the stripped down look of your Fatboy, but you would have the tunes and plenty of space to put your stuff. Good luck with your decision.
