Came across your forum while searching for motor oil. I've had Harleys in my blood since before I was a teen. At 15, my best school buddy and I went behind our parents' backs, and traded yard work for a rusty, barely running 350 Sprint. That was a quite a long time ago. Now, several bikes later, both the world and I have changed. I now ride a '95 Fat Boy. My motorcycle is for ME. If I get caught in the rain, who knows when I'll feel like getting around to washing it. I wear plain black T-shirts, because they're less than 10 bucks each in the 3-packs. I couldn't care less whether or not the guy I sit next to at the bar knows that I have a Harley. I discovered at an early age that H-D was mostly after my $. I figured it out when I noticed that a "genuine H-D" spark plug was really just a Champion. I took it to the local auto store, and found that I could purchase them for a fraction of the cost. Now, I dread going to the Harley shop. They're not Harley shops any more; they're bleeping "Tiffany's", or something. With the exception of having tires mounted and balanced, I have never spent a dime to have some one else work on my bike for me. Anyway, it looks to me that you have a great forum here. I'm sure that I'll come visit often.
