Hi everyone! I've been lurking this forum trying to learn more about Harley's. I was at the dealership looking at a new HD Breakout, but I have to do my homework online first and of course look at cost of possible mods
I'm a veteran from the Army as a 19D and have buddies who ride so I've finally caught the bug haha. I sold my Nissan GTR over the winter and have been debating on what to get next. I'm mainly into road course racing so I've been thinking about getting a bike to cruise around town, then build a track car for the hardcore racing instead of trying to get the best out of both worlds in a car.
Well thanks for all the info you guys have provided so far and I'll probably be reading through the lengthy "Everything Breakout" thread before making a final decision
Thanks for the welcome guys. I have to admit its a little intimidating getting into a new scene but damn these things look like a lot of fun and the modifications seem endless!
For those that have bought new bikes is it pretty common to pay exactly what the dealership is advertising for the price, or is there some wiggle room? The dealership on the north side of Indy have a new 2014 breakout and a used 2013 and there's only like a $1,500 difference which I found odd until I tried looking up used Breakout's online for sale. I could hardly find any and the ones I did find we're in the $18k-$19k range which is the same as the new one here.
