Hello all , I am new to this site . I recently purchased an 1981 ironhead for a project bike this winter . have been riding forever on several bikes . anyway getting excited to start project . the bike is a ridged frame with 1000 motor matching vin # on motor and frame (bran new pistons .010 over ) basicly have frame and partical motor and not much else . but that is what I wanted a real project . I will get some pics soon .
been riding Honda I currently have a nice02 vtx 1800 that I bought new in 02 .
been playing around with frame and engine but time to get serious I want to turn it into a bobber .

thank you guys for the welcome . I will be starting my engine repairs by the need to change out the cam bearings and bushings . have the bushings out already but from what I am reading I will need a bearing tool so I don't loose pins into case (that would be a bummer ) been checking and found something from vtwin manufacturing but they want 160 bucks . maybe I can borrow one someware
