Road king wheels
Hi all, I'm new to this and my first question, I have a 1991 EG sport, and am slowly doing little jobs on it, I have bought of eBay a pair of 2010 "smoothie" laced wheels from a road king, I've done a little research and have now realised that the hub and pulley (pulley not with wheels) are totally different fitting to standard ( ids Cush drive?) in a nut shell will I be able to fit them to my 91 and if so what do I need to do, thanks in advance for your help

To be frank you've jumped too many generations of wheels to make them work. Your bike has taper-roller wheel bearings that are 3/4" ID, the 2010 wheels have ball-races that are 25mm ID. The bearing housings on the '10 wheels are larger in diameter, so your rotors and rear pulley will not swap over onto the '10 hubs. Most significantly, the '10 rear wheel is much wider at the hub than your bike and will not fit your swingarm. The tyre that fits the RK wheel is actually wider than your rear fender!
Where there is a will there is a way, but to make those wheels wheels fit your bike is a serious custom job, especially the rear - not for the feint-hearted!

Many thanks and very helpful, probably best to pop them back on eBay and buy some earlier laced wheels, just a thought would it be possible to fit the front one, excuse me if it's a silly question, it's amazing the amount I've learned in a short time, mostly that HD seemed to change things a lot, saying that I would never be without my bike

There are not so many problems to overcome with the front, however it is still not a simple bolt-in. Your brake discs will not fit it the '12 hub as the holes in their centres are not big enough. The stock '12 rotors are larger in diameter than yours and won't work with your brake rotors. There are 3/4" ball races available that will fit, but you have a wheel driven speedo drive, which the '12 wheel will not readily work with. So you see that while all these things can be overcome with determination and some workshop skills, it isn't a bolt-in!
