I've been searching the threads but, I cant seem to find one related to the topic of refurbished wheels.
I came across a sale in ebay where they are selling used harley wheels. They take a used wheel from source that isnt specified, clean them, re-chrome them, and polishing them. The end result is what looks like a new set of custom chrome wheels for the price of a single new wheel.
I have a couple of fears about doing this but, I was wondering if anybody out there has experience with putting used "refurbished" wheels on their bike good or bad.
I have a few guys that have done this and I would avoid it. Problems have been bad or cheap bearings in the wheels and the chrome is poor quality. They tend to look good for a year or two but go to hell after that. This is just what I have seen in the past.
