Default Looking for different wheels/tires

I drive a 2011 FXDWG and I hate spokes. I didn't know I hated them until I tried to clean them and then changed out the tires myself. So, I'm in the market for non-spoked wheels (and eff some stupid *** tubes, I never want to deal with them again).

My wheel/tire sizes are:
Front: 80/90-21 MC 54H REINF
Back: 180/60 B17 M/C 75V

I'm just looking for advice or suggestions on wheels and tires. I don't wanna break the bank, and I'm opening to different sizes than I currently have...though, I don't think I can go much wider on the rear-end.

Also, pics are great if you're really proud of yours. I just get tired of looking through website store after website store of wheels that are not on bikes, so it's hard to know if I'd like them or not.

I suspect you can readily find a secondhand cast rear wheel, off another Harley model. Check the H-D website for styles, then look around for them on Ebay, in the HDF Classifieds. I bought a s/h Deuce rear for around 100 bucks, which looks as if it has only ever had one tyre on it. Alternatively Harley probably offer custom wheels, so also check the Shop tab on their website.

You may have more problems with a suitable front, as 21" are commonly wire spokes. As above, check for other Harley models, just in case. An on-line parts website like this one is very helpful for what I call 'armchair research'. Custom wheels should be easy enough, but tend not to be cheap!

Thanks for the info -- I consider myself an expert armchair researcher! I'm just NOT smart enough to know what I'm looking at most of the time.

One of the things I'm struggling to get my brain around is how the wheel size and tire sizes work when it comes to other sizes. I get what the numbers mean; e.g., "180" being the tire width, "60" being 60% of the 180 for the aspect ratio or side wall height, "B17" being the diameter, and on and on. At least, I should admit, I think I know how all that works.

If, for example, I want the Commander II tires and they don't have a 180/60 B17, how am I able to know if the 200/55 R17 will work? I know 200mm should fit under my fender, and at 55% of 200 it should be able the same height. But will it fit on the wheel like it's supposed to? And what's the different between B17 and R17?

As grbrown mentioned.. you won't find any stock cast front wheel in a 21" that is going to fit properly on your bike.

You could of course do aftermarket forged billet wheels like the ones we make and carry but they are more on the pricey side ... $1,000 - $1,300 each depending on the brand and style wheel you choose.

We have allot to choose from on our site and we even make the matching rotors and pulleys for the wheels. If you think you would want to see some pictures of wide glides with custom wheels, email us at sales@WanaRyd.com and we can send some over to you.

We can also help you get the sizes and everything you're trying to accomplish.
