Im in a bit of confusion here i have a 01 fxd that im about to replace the rear tire on, i am running pirelli routes front and back and ive been reading that spoked rims have/need tubes, the rear tire says tubeless but the ones ive found online are tube type? Thanks for the help
I know that any tire ( tubed or tubless ) will fit any wheel ( spoke or billet ). And I know that wheel technology has came a long way. But I thought that spoke wheels required tubed tires?

You can run tires that have "tubeless" imprinted on them, on spoked wheels. You just need to run a tube in them. Go to your dealer and look at the tires on the bikes with spoked wheels. They'll all have "tubeless" imprinted on them.

Ya that is what I ment. My hands just didn't type what I was thinking.
When I said you have the option, I meant you could put tubeless tires on spoked wheels utilizing the required tubes.
Haven't looked into it yet, but I seem to remember for 2012, Harley Davidson came out with a special rim strip that would eliminate the need for tubes on spoked wheels. Anyone done any research on that yet?
