Not without enlarging the spacer sleeve Clearance Hole.

2000 is 3/4" rear axle...2006 is 1"

Is it a cast or laced spoke? (Can I assume 9-spoke Cast?)

multihdrdr: thank you for responding. Can I just replace bearing with 1". I am not sure its polished lip and spokes are black.

You will have to have the clearance hole enlarged for the 1" axle/sleeve.

Yes, take the original 3/4" sleeve (1" O.D.) along with your new 1" sleeve (1.250" O.D.) so they can compare the minimum clearances

Yes, the bore through the center of the wheel will need to be opened up to accept the larger 1" center spacer.
