1999 Dyna, wanting cast wheels
All, I am wanting to convert my 1999 FXDL to mag 9 spoke wheels, from laced wheels. It seems everywhere I look, I run into a different number for the 9-spoke wheels that would fit this. It has dual discs up front, 2.15" width, and Timken tapered bearings, and a 3/4" axle.. The rear is 16"x3" wheel. I would REALLY like to get the old 7-spoke wheels, but I fear that may be too complicated, and I no longer have acces to a machine shop.
Does anyone know the correct part numbers I should look for? I know they came in silver and also black, and I am looking for the black numbers. Thank you all for your guidance. And if you know anything about the 7-spoke wheels, I would love to hear it.
Jim

I could probably come up with some part#'s for you, but I don't think it would really help...They aren't available NEW anymore and the number is not on the wheel so typically no one knows it or uses it. One usually has to go by visual identification (which is pretty easy on those wheels)
Your're basically looking for the 84-95 9-spoke wheels which should directly replace your Laced Spoke Wheels
The most important thing is that you DO NOT want the earlier FRONTS that used a 10" rotor (shown on LEFT below) instead the 84-later 11.5" (shown on Right)
They are easily identified even without a Rotor in place by looking at the Rotor "Locator" (centering) on the hub.
DISREGARD THE RED ARROWS ... THESE PHOTOS WERE REFERENCING THE SPEEDO DRIVE HOLES... (look at the "Ring" size around the seal)
