better sized rim for a 110 tire 2.75" or 3"
Hi everyone. I bent my spoked front wheel on my 2012 Street Bob. I will be replacing it with a wheel built by Woody's Wheels with my hub.
I will be using a 19" Sun rim. I can go with a 2.75 or a 3.
The stock rim size is 2.5, but that size is not available from Sun. It took a 100/90 19.
I will have to go to a 110 to accommodate the wider rim.
Which size rim would be best to go with the 110 tire? I'll be putting an Avon Cobra Chrome on there.
I'm new to this, what would you do? Seeking your forum wisdom. You guys know better than I do.

First, just so you know ... your original 2.5" rim is also an acceptable width for a 110.
If you go with the 2.75" you can usually use a 100 or 110 ... (double check the recommended rim size range for your particular brand of 100 tire)
The 3" is too wide for the 100 but will work with the 110
.
