Default It is over!

Well a few years a ago I bought the Harbor Freight tire changer and motorcycle adapter. I modified it using the MoJo nylon blocks and purchased a No-Mar bar from Cycle Hill. I thought I had its use down as last year's install went well; fairly well. I have no trouble removing tires and getting the second bead on with the No-Mar bar goes fairly easily. Getting the first bead on that rim is just plain flat a fight. The adapter puts the work up too high and it is difficult to push down on the tire resulting in pushing laterally which causes the floor anchors to be pulled from the cement floor. I try using a step ladder to get on top but no luck. Thought about levers but I found an indy that has a more agreeable mounting fee compared to those whose price motivated me to buy this setup.
Anybody have any tips that will keep me from having to sell at a loss? Did think about cutting the post down and welding to make the setup lower. Hell I was looking to turn this into a little business. Thanks in advance for any and all replies!

Both of you are correct. The sad thing is I really only saved a bit north of a hundred bucks. Should have just gone with the cycle hill product. Their cam lock for the rim looks pretty slick. Don't know if it is worth the time and money to apply some of the mods that come to mind for the HF pos.

the pics below are what i have done. i can bolt it to a cemented plate in front of my shop or use the stab in adapter for using the thing for larger tires, yep, 17" truck tires. notice you MUST beef up the presser foot, made from chinesium. now, you have a bear of a tire, use vacuum, i removed 28" tractor tires by doing such. the hf bar can be used BUT it MUST be polished so that it is smooth and a sleeve put on the shaft to protect the rim. now for the mc adapter, i made wooden "V" blocks to grab the mc rim, i also made a axle shaft adapter for the hd wheel bearings as the hf unit will not work, at least to my way of doing it. the trick is making sure the presser foot is on top of the base extension so that down ward pressure cannot raise the base.

I don't have any trouble with the bead breaker I think that is what you call the presser foot. It looks like you made it taller. I want to make it shorter. Thanks for the pics and thoughts.
