Hi. I got a 93 fatboy with softail rear fender.
I thinking about getting a wider rear tire. Orginal 160. Can i get any bigger tire whitout any modifications?
and can i get a wider tire on the same rim?
Your bike I think has those narrow 3" rims. Leave it as is. It's not like a car like it will put any more rubber on the road. Harley did all kinds of strange stuff to go dog with two dicks style wider. Wider rims but they have the hub bearing space wider. Narrow drive belts. Then even wider fender.

I have a '93 Fatboy. Just keep the stock tire size. I don't believe there is an easy way to install a larger tire. HD offered a Softail Wide Tire Kit (HD Part Number: 43684-98B), but it was designed for softail model year 1997 through 1999.
I believe the problem with the above kit is that the stock rear fender is not wide enough for a wider tire.
