Default Leaking @ bead

Help out a Scotsman. My Road King came to me used with Ness Evil 7 chromed wheels. They are probably circa 2010, and the chrome inside the wheels has eroded to the point where there is a slow leak at bead. I'm not ready to invest a ton of money into new rims, and was hoping someone has a good idea on getting them to seal. I've tried Slime already . Is there a product that can be applied to help "restore " the bead area?
Thanks, McC

You could try some bead sealer; however, the next time you take the tire off it may need to be cleaned off.

Clean the are good to remove any loose chrome.

You can try to light cleaning on the tire side of the rim with scotch brite or other non mating abrasive. That should remove the corrosion that is allowing the air to escape.

I'd put a tube in it.

Take it to a rim repair shop. They can put it on a lathe and completely clean the bad stuff off of the sealing edge. Make your wheel like new again.

I don't know if these. products are available there or not. If they are, try their bead sealer out.
I used their products for over 30 years and they always worked great for me.

This is good stuff. I used it on some old rusty chrome ATV wheels. They sealed up and that's with just 6 psi of air pressure.

The wheel cleaned up on a metal lathe would be best. IMO -Remove all the chrome inside the wheel and on bead area. Next, would be files, or sanding discs, sand paper, scotch brite pads , then finer sand paper, lapping compound, then aluminum polish. This with lots of elbow grease or power tools-problem solved. No responsible if you screw it up. Use your head.
