Default Damn!!Cant get A.E. Tires
Anyone use Avon Chrome tires? cant get A.E. anymore and Avons look like a good tire . there going on my 2006 Super glide

I love Avon. Been super happy for over 30 years running their tires. Can’t wait to wear out my Dunlops so I can get new Avons on my Road King. I run the Cobra Chrome’s on my Softail and Shovel Hardtail.

i run them on all my bikes and sell quite a few through my shop, leaps and bounds better than the AE's
m

Have ran both on 12 Fatboy. Both excellent tires. CC's were softer and wore out faster. AE last 3-5k miles more.

Ran the Cobras then the Cobra Chromes for years. Then COVID so I got the AEs. I was shocked at how much I liked the Dunlops. Still running them today.

Yep, I have a couple RG friends that changed to the AEs from the Cobras, same story.
It is like Covid all over again! Tires for baggers are hard to find this summer, glad I snagged an extra set last winter.

I ordered AE for my 21 road glide last Saturday, front and rear, delivered Tuesday, I put them on today. Everyone had the fronts but no one had the rear, the I realized everyone had AE2 for the rear.

I love Avon Cobras. I wasnt as thrilled when they went to Cobra Chromes, mostly because I dont like change, but they are essentially the same tire, just with a slightly wider slick pattern down the middle. Makes sense since stock tire sizes kept getting wider but most of my bikes, FXRs, run 140s so I wasnt affected much. Ive never had issues with them and to me the tread pattern looks the best as well. Yea Im one of those guys that cares about what the tire looks like just as much as how it performs haha
