I have an 07 EGC and have been using Dunlop tires when they need replacing. I am considering putting on Avon Venon X or Metzler 880 Marathons this spring and have had lots of comments (pro/con) on both.
Any one out there have an personal experience with either? I'm leaning more to the Avons as I've been told they handle better and are quieter than the Metzlers
Thanks
Roxer
Here's a tip: Try doing a forum search on the various brand names and read the comments. Asking which one is best is like asking if blue is a better color than red or green.

i have run the 880's on a metric cruiser with good mileage results. my understanding is that one of their plants MAY have had some quality control issues resulting in delamination problems. but i know of no issues personally.
i have run the stock dunlops on my 2008 u.c. got 7500 out of the first rear and close to 10k on the replacement and it still looks pretty new. i am going to try the e3's next as i hear they don't have tracking issues like the stock tire.
i would like to find a more aggressive rear for a trip i have coming up but so far no luck.
like the last guy posted it is a matter of choice.

edit: forgot to mention that everyone knows that pearl black is the best. LOL
