Front brake locking up on Road King

Front brake locking up on Road King
These problem has occurred twice to me. I'm driving down the road and all the sudden the front brakes lock up. The system seems to build up pressure by itself . Enought that you cannot move the brake lever. THE 1st time I was crusing down the highway and they started to lock up . I got to the side of the road waited about ten minutes and the problem went away. I finshed a week long trip and the rest of the riding season (5000 MILES ) no problems then it showed up yesterday a couple of blocks from the house. I open the bleeders to releave pressure and finshed a 300 mile day no problems .

Too much brake fluid in the reservoir with nowhere to expand. This expansion causes the caliper to clamp onto the disc. Check level to varify this and drain some out if needed. Then you need to find the person who serviced it and wind up you boot for a healthy a$$ kicking.

Hey Ron;
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have to kick myself in the a$$ as I'M the one who changed the brake lines out to steel braided. OPPS!!! One of those live and learn things for me . Thanks a millon PS. just had a 95 inch kit done on it . She rips now !!
