Default 2008 Softail brake question

I have a 2008 Softail Nightrain. It stops like a freight train. does anyone know if there is an aftermarket dual front disk conversion for Softails?

You might be able to do it with stock Harley parts, check with your dealer to see if a FL front end would work. Keep in mind that you're going to be changing all of the following parts:

Fork sliders or at least the one side w/o the caliper mount.
1 additional brake caliper, brake lines, connections, fittings
You'll also be changing the master cylinder since the bore sizes in the single and dual disc setups are different.

You might want to try a different brake pad first, Lyndall pads are pretty much a universe ahead of the stock HD. You might want to try a different front rotor also. Changing the front pads runs about $40.00 for the parts and a half hour of your time. IMHO, a cheap way to see if that upgrades the braking enough. Even if it doesn't, you'll be 1/2 way to a better set of pads when you do go to a dual disc set up.
