Last summer i had a metezler tire installed on the back of my 2005 FLTI. The other night i started a good cleaning of my white walls. I noticed the directional arrow on the rear tire was pointing in the wrong direction of rotation. I said WTF!!!
Does anyone know if there will be any internal damage done to this tire.
I,m a member of a local antique motorcyle club and one of the members brought up something about belt overlap and the tire might be distroyed internaly.
I probaly have about 4000klm on it since installed.
My dad, who worked at Uniroyal, had always told me that belt thing was only true for steel-belted radials. The rain sipes would be backwards of course, but other than that, np. However, this page (scroll to Rotation and balance marks) states otherwise. Maybe something changed over the years. Even if it was last summer, I'd go back to the place they were mounted and let 'em know about their screw-up
