Its probably been asked a thousand times already but i will ask again.
I have a 2009 softail custom with a 200mm rear tire. I bought a new dunflop in March and have put 4200 non aggressive miles on it, well i noticed the other day that there is about an 1/8 to a 3/16 wide strip of rubber missing from the middle of the tire and it is all the way to the steel cords. I called the place i bought it and asked if they had any warranty, they told me no and that the 200mm tires will only get around 4 to 5 thousand miles, which seamed odd because the original lasted to 8500. So does anyone have any advice on a longer lasting tire in the 200mm size?
Thank you,
PR
Best mileage I got from a 200mm on my '08 was about 6k and that was an Avon Cobra.
I went another 1k on it but I wouldn't have taken it on any out of town rides.
