Default Rear wheel question...

I have a solid rear wheel from a 97-03 sportster and I'm looking to try to put it on my 97 EG. I know the wheel has sealed bearings opposed to the Timken style that's on it now but, they are both 3/4 axles. What I'm needing to know is, what is involved in doing this swap besides different spacers. Will I need to swap the pulley or the rotor for newer styles or what? Thanks in advance!

The big problem will be installing the EG rotor on the sportster wheel. I installed a solid Fatboy wheel on my '98 Ultra, but had to buy an aftermarket rotor and installed it with the stock rear EG caliper. Been a long time ago since I did it, but check out the brakes first!

Thanks Stiggy! Brake rotor was what I thought would be my problem but, it's always good to hear from somebody that's experienced it and not guessing, like me!

It's starting to come back..I think the rotor I found was from an even earlier FLT whose rotor center was the same as your Sportster's. It was also about the same thickness. But I also remember taking it to a machine shop and turning about 1/4" of rotor off so that the new rotor would fit the EG caliper. It was a pain but it worked beautifully once installed. ( And I didn't have to buy a solid FLT wheel.$$$)
