Front brake rattle

While riding I noticed a rattle that was fairly annoying. Being a mechanic I began my search while trying to pay attention to the road. I noticed that when the front brake is actuated, noise gone. I checked it after riding and everything is tight. Noticed a bit of play from the slides. I removed it, checked it, and reinstalled it exactly the same way. Ride home, noise gone. Any thoughts? This is the second time this has happened.

A weak or rusty 'anti-rattle' spring. You cleaned it and it'll work for awhile...(?)

Do you just need to stretch the anti-rattle spring? Mine is doing the same thing

Black Sheep, any time you stretch, or over stress, a spring you reduce its ability to act properly, and prolong the need to replace it.
