Default Brake fluid

Does anyone know why the factory went back to D.O.T. 4 fluid and stopped using D.O.T. 5? The 5 is wonderful, no paint problems.

The only explanation I've seen, in answer to a similar question, is that it's to do with the introduction of ABS. When activated the ABS system uses pumps to provide the fluctuating pressure, which can cause frothing in DOT5, apparently. That's the best I can offer!

DOT 5 airates with the rapid pulsation of the ABS.
