During a pulley/sprocket swap (and attempting to use my shop manual for my FatBoy) something went amiss while reinstalling the rear wheel.
When I removed the caliper from the rotor to pull the axle out, the brake pads no longer nestle inside the caliper properly during re-installation.
Though I have looked at the diagrams and read the text, the read (inside) pad is slid forward from where it belongs, being about 1/2" too far out on the rotor.
Any ideas where I went wrong (other than not taking it to a certified HD shop?)
Your explanation is a bit vague??? it might be the makers mark ...picture would be great...could it be the little plate sping inside the caliper that misaligned itself???
