Default wheel prices

When I ask this I do not mean any disrespect just a question that crosses my mind while I keep pricing out wheel/tire combos. Why is it 2 wheels and 2 motorcycle tires are going to run you over 3k, (and yes that 3k does include rotors.) I have run 5 different trucks with tire sizes ranging from 35s to 37s and I can get 4 wheels and tires in either size for cheaper. It just doesn't make sense to me.

And this is by no means directed at any site sponsors. Like I said it is just a simple question that is stuck in my head.

You are not comparing like with like! Your bike wheels include the hubs with bearings, rotor mounts etc. Now price those for your truck! Your truck wheels are no more than rims, which happen to start where you bolt them to the hub.

Hope that helps!
