You can get as accurate as necessary with that tool. I use a piece of string! I don't see any benefit of going to extremes over this. You have all you need IMHO.

I made my own tool out of a wire clothes hangar and a clothes pin.
Cut and bent the hanger at a 90 degree angle and I use the clothes pin as a marker for the center of the axle.
You may also want to invest in the belt tension tool.

The Motion Pro tool is actually pretty nice. The factory service manual says to "bend a welding rod" to accomplish the same thing. Remember, you're not fighting another rear tire like on a car, so hyper accuracy is not necessary. If your drive belt isn't showing crazy wear patterns, you're probably as good as you need to be.

There is also an alignment plane that is a function of which way the top of the wheel and tire tilts (vertical alignment). My manual describes a procedure using an inclinometer to align both brake rotors so they are on the same plane. If they are off, your tire will wear to one side or the other. On my dyna, the adjustment is done with the motor mount (threaded rod anchored behind the horn) between the jugs under the gas tank. It tilts the engine, driveline, and ultimately the rear wheel left or right. I don't have my manual in front of me, but I think you loosen the front and rear motor mounts and run the engine for 5 seconds before making these adjustments.
