Probably going to get flamed for this novice question, but I have looked around on this forum and the internet and I can not find the answer.
On a tubed tire on the Black and Chrome Cast Aluminum wheel for the flhtk, can I put a tubeless mich commander II?
I have not had the misfortune to run tubed tires before and I would prefer to go back without the tube when I replace the tire. Not interested in changing wheels either.
Besides I picked up these nice 45deg valve stems to put on when I replace the tires.
I read an article that starting in 2012 HD was putting tubeless tires on more of their bikes but not the ultra limited. Assumed mine had tubes. Unless I find out before hand I will know for sure in a few months when I replace the Dunlop's. I would have thought my bike would be tubeless but this my first touring bike.
Look at the valve stem, if it is all rubber like the tires on your car it is most likely tubeless, if it has a nut holding it in place directly on the rim it probably has a tube.

You need to read a bit more closely! Harley are making wire-spoked wheels for some models, that take tubeless tyres. Their alloy wheels, like all other bike brands, have been using tubeless tyres for decades. You can put any suitable tubeless tyre of any brand on your stock alloys.

not really as you can buy solid valve stem holders that use a o'ring on the stem inside the rim too seal. so your half correct
