Master cylinder disappeared!

Master cylinder disappeared!
Well today I got on my bike to go for a ride after the rain cleared up and didn't have any rear brake. No problem I think I'll just adjust them (even though my bike was just in for a 1000 mile service, I thought perhaps it was overlooked).
Well much to my surprise and amazement the entire master cylinder was MISSING. It is like it had been ripped right off off. There is a plastic housing that covers the part underneath it and that plastic was torn.
I happen to be out of town and luckily the local HD dealership is just down the road from where I'm staying. The service adviser said he has never seen anything like it. He called other people over to look as well.
I started feeling like they thought there was a story to be told that I wasn't telling so that I could hope for warranty coverage. Well, there is no story. And now Im wondering if it was sabotage. I did park at a hotel garage overnight (at a casino with designated MC parking) on this trip and two nights here where I am not but otherwise the bike is always kept in my garage.
I regret not taking a pic and I will drop by there tomorrow morning and hope to get a pic of it to show - as they say a picture is worth a thousand words.
I am just wondering - How in the hell? I mean, I would have heard it if something hit it while i was riding. I've never dumped the bike or anything.
Has anyone heard of this?
Edit - BTW - its a 2013 Fatboy Low with ABS...
