Rebuilding an 89 sportster... Soaked up all the fluid that was left in the front master and added dot 4 in there. I then hooked up my vac to the bleeder screw and sucked everything through. Everything seemed fine after pumping on the brakes a few times, then the lever stopped springing back. I could put a flat blade screwdriver in there and draw it back, but the next time i pushed on it, it gets stuck at the end again.
I just read about the whole don't mix dot 4 with 5 issue...
I was thinking that the spring inside the master snapped, but now after reading about the mixing of 4 and 5, I think I have way worse problems...
Can anyone tell me what I'm going to have to do to fix this now?
