Default Shinko 777's..

I put the shinko 777's on my bike, rode good and felt good around town...and god damn do they hook! VERY soft tire. NOW, I put it on the interstate, got up to 70, felt a little wobble((just like the death wobble for those that know what that is). ...move on up to to 75, wobble increases...move on up to 80, ALMOST a bad situation!. Anyother have this experience with Shinko's? I took them right back off and sending them back, Got Avon's on it now!

Make sure you are running those Avons at their recommended pressures, otherwise you risk having problems with those as well! Check their website, as they like slightly higher pressures than the stock tyres. Pressures may have been the problem with the Shinkos, but while I have been using Avons on my Harleys for 40 years I have never tried Shinkos.

I'm running Shinkos 777s on my 06 Ultra. Ride great, stick, and handle well. I too had the wobble at freeway speeds. Ran the tire pressure up to the max of 44psi and the wobble has gone away. Just my experience, yours may differ.

And now with less than 7k, it's time for a rear tire. Going to go with Michelin Commander II.

Fixed a high speed wobble on my Sportster by R&R the fork oil, never would have guessed that'd work but makes sense. Mentioned the problem to an experienced greybeard and he said "fork oil" before I even finished my sentence LoL!
